Welcome to the North East Cheshire Decorative and Fine Arts Society.

Our society was founded in 1973 and has a membership of about 300. The meetings take place from September – June on the morning of the second Wednesday of each month at the Brookdale Centre, Bridge Lane, Bramhall SK7 3AB.

We offer a comprehensive programme of lectures on a wide selection of topics encompassing art, literature and music. Many talks in the 2016-17 programme will explore the influence of the Grand Tour, undertaken by young, aristocratic men from the mid 17th to the late 19th centuries. Its purpose was to expose them to the cultural legacy of classical antiquity and the Renaissance.

With many speakers new to Necdfas, we hope you will find the programme stimulating and inspiring. All Necdfas lectures are given by NADFAS approved speakers and are of a very high standard. In addition, there are day visits, short tours at home and abroad, and study days.

Active volunteer groups include Church Recorders and Heritage. We also sponsor schools and youth organisations within the region through our Young Arts joint projects.

More information, including joining us and where we meet, is available under the About Us tab at the top of the page.

Airedale Solutions have upgraded our web site to be mobile friendly. If it looks a little odd please refresh your browser whilst viewing the page. This is usually done by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard or the circular arrow in your browser.
